Annual General Meeting (AGM) Information
We will be having our Annual General Meeting (AGM) to elect new commitee members for the year 2016-2017.
The AGM will be held in Imperial College London on Saturday 1st October 2016.
If you are interested in a committee position, please write a short manifesto of not more than 200 words, detailing why you would like to run for the position. Your application will need to be seconded by one of the current committee members (this does not have to be the person who is holding the role you wish to apply for). You will also need to prepare a 2 minute speech for the AGM.
The deadline for applications will be midnight Wednesday 28th September 2016. Please send in your application to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Here are several guidelines to note:
Each applicant may apply for 3 committee positions, with manifestos and speeches prepared for each position.
All committee positions are available to any of our AMSA-UK members except for the President positions where it is required that the applicant has had a committee role in the past.
Applicants applying for the RC position must have previously attended AMSC.
In the interest of balancing the voice of the main institutions of AMSA-UK, the 2 President positions will be comprised of 1 KCL and 1 Imperial member. However, in the event that no one applies from either institution, both positions will become open to all the candidates who have applied.
A total of 4 academic officers will be elected for this coming academic year, 2 positions for KCL and 2 positions for Imperial.
Feel free to send in any queries to any of the committee members. We'll be glad to answer any questions. See you all soon!
